Description
Vintage. No box or papers but sold with factory archive bearing it’s photo.
This gorgeous vintage Cartier Tank was purchased directly from the Cartier boutique in Hilton hotel in Singapore and it was part of the factory’s collection. According to the owner, she was an invited guest for a private Cartier event & purchased this watch that evening for S$58,000 which comes with a factory archive paper certifying it’s authenticity shown here. This watch was sold by Cartier as a vintage, a truly collectible timepiece that has been authenticated by the company.
This watch is fitted with the finest movement supplied by the coveted European Watch Company which was an exclusive manufacturer for Cartier. There are 46pcs of rose-cut diamonds set onto the case with a further 32pcs on the buckle. Cut black onyx pieces are set onto the bezel to further enhance the Art Deco style.
The case, movt & deployant buckle are all stamped, numbered & bears the French hallmarks as watches were made in Paris by the French firm and production only moved to Switzerland in the later part of 20th century. Watch works well now & with proper care, this will last you for several decades to come. It is noteworthy that the deployant buckle which we love so much today was actually invented by Cartier in the last century.
An important vintage lady’s watch from Cartier for the collector at a bargain price now.
One such peculiar watch in white & yellow gold only was sold by Phillips in May 2017 for CHF81,250.
A modern Cartier box will be given to you upon purchase.
