Description
Vintage. No paper but has original black leather box.
This is a rare modern day pocket watch made by L.U. Chopard (Louis-Ulysse Chopard) dating to mid 1970s and it’ll be fifty years old soon.
A very attractive & slim watch measuring just 6mm thin in a solid gold French empire style case with white dial, Roman numerals and a set of moon-hands complete the watch.
This watch was engraved on the back cover with “To my Love Sep 14 1975 Nicole”
Takes about 15 winds on the crown to full power reserve and keeps time like a modern day watch. It weighs a relatively hefty 45.9grams and at S$111/gram now, we’re offering this watch for it’s price in weight only which is a steal. This watch would certainly cost over USD$10K to replace at retail today. The watch is in near mint condition throughout.
Founded in 1860, Chopard remains one of the very few family owned brand by the German Scheufele family when they acquired it from the descendants of Chopard in 1963.
