Description
Antique. No box or papers but a Passions box will be given.
This is a very rare timepiece by Omega as very few pocket watches were made in 18ct white gold and it is in an exceptional condition for its age. This watch dates to the 1920s Art Deco era with it’s evocative pattern on the case and very slim movement. Most of the pocket watches by Omega in the past were mass market, low-end productions with nickel cases, low jewel movements and simple enamel dials so this hi-end piece that was produced for a high society clientele is definitely a gem to collect.
The watch is triple signed and in very original throughout down to the screws and crown which tells us that it was always cherished in the past century. The dial is in excellent condition which means it was kept in a dry environment and large blued steel hands compliments it. The movement is a calibre 39.5L that was introduced in 1917 and jewelled to the center.
The case shows general handling hairlines without serious dents nor scratches and we refrained from polishing it for now. There is an elaborate monogram engraving of the initials GP on the back cover.
A beautiful antique Omega with prestige.
This is a high grade watch weighing 48.3 gram and takes 20 winds to full power reserve.
Further 3% discount for non-credit card payment as usual.
