Cyma C.1950s 41mm Cymaflex open face manual winding pocket watch in 18K Pink Gold

A very nice and clean Cyma open face pocket watch which is completely original and retains details of the stepped bezel rings on both faces. The dial is original and presents very well with little ageing while the movement shines as new. There’s only a tiny dent near the edge of the back cover between 1-2 o’clock but negligible otherwise there’s no other flaws of concern.

The movement winds well and works faultlessly. This watch has been with us for 11yrs and kept away till now. This is a post-War Cyma with it’s logo embossed on the dial while the movement has the main gear signed with Tavannes as they were the same trade marks manufactured under a factory by Schwob Bros & Sandoz based in LeLocle. Cymaflex is the name for the shock resisting system developed in-house and applied on the balance wheel’s staff to prevent breakage. This name would be proudly advertised on the dials and case back of their watches.

A good solid gold example and relatively modern pocket watch for keep and of course to use. A full wind takes about 21 winds on the crown.
