Description
Vintage. No box or papers and a Passions Box will be given.
This is a highly collectible diver’s Seamaster 200m Date with the helmet case named so for the shape of it’s case. The bi-directional rotating bezel has an acrylic immersion scale for timing.
This watch dates back to 1971 and presents in it’s original condition. The case appears to be unpolished with original factory finish that’s still visible and has all the user marks scarred over the past 50yrs that adds to it’s character. These were real tool watches worn by divers in those years. Upon unlocking the case back, there are no visible rust marks which is a great sign & the pink gold gilt movement shines as it should. The lume on the dial has aged to a nice patina and matching with the hands.
A very attractive vintage diver’s watch that’s under valued. This is a professional diver’s watch aka Mini-Ploprof and the answer to Rolex’s Submariner yet the movement was ahead of Rolex as it features quick-set date and hack-seconds. Buy this quick as we don’t expect to see another in this condition anytime soon.
