What a charming neo-classic! Our Cartier Santos Galbee here as the original silvered dial aged to a burnt ochre shade and the navy blue markings changes colour from blue under light to black in the shade which is quite a delight and offers a vintage vibe to it.

This watch was subjected to a complete restoration by our service department. This watch was taken apart for a factory spec polishing, movement serviced, gaskets replaced and fresh battery. The bezel is not over polished, case profile is excellent and bracelet is tight. The cost to do this complete works with the Santos two tone polishing is worth almost S$800. Most of these in the secondary market are very worn out with over-polishing or rusty joints but not our watch here as we always select the best candidate for restoration.

This watch presents fresh as new now with a most attractive dial that we’ve ever seen as such ageing can only be honoured through the passage of time where no two pieces will be the same.

Launched in 1987, the Santos Galbée (French for curved) replaced the original boxy Santos and this curved case offers an incredibly good fit to suit our wrists.
