2001 Rare Panerai, 42mm PAM00098 D series of 500pcs “Radiomir GMT & Alarm” GP movt automatic date dualtime in Steel. B&P

This is a rare neo-classic model from 2001. This 42mm Panerai Radiomir GMT Alarm Pam0098 is 25 years old now and this is a the first year production watch from D series with just 500 numbered pieces made.

The Radiomir GMT Alarm was first introduced in 1999 with just 60 examples made in 18KWG under B series and then as a regular, annual limited production in small numbers for just a few years so there are only few thousand pieces of this out there.

Watch appears to be unpolished and presented in near mint condition but do expect fine hairlines on the polished steel case. This watch was kept away in a vault and occasionally wound. There is no service history and movement winds well with no heavy resistance. Timing is good and all functions checked.

The original black alligator strap is in very good condition and will save you about S$600 to replace.

This is a very appealing watch for daily use with practical all-in-one solution for the frequent traveller, and for those who doesn’t want a cumbersome 44mm Panerai, then this slimmer case model is the answer. The automatic movement was procured from Girard Perregaux and features dual-time zone, date and alarm.
