This is the most sought after IWC Portofino Moonphase Ref.5251. The original that spawned a few modern limited versions.

Watch has never been polished and shows some light surface wear.

A very rare & sought after watch by collectors. Production of this model started in 1981 and ceased in the late 1990s. It’s gigantic case & dial was never popular during the era, not many pieces were produced which explains why the dealer kept this until being sold in 2004. This 5251 remains the most authentic with finer hands than the modern cousins and a vintage pocket watch movement that glitters like a treasure box.
