This 40mm Cartier Pasha Seatimer has just been polished to factory specs & overall condition is 99% like new now. The bezel rotates anti-clockwise with a fine rachetting and black enamelled paint fills the 60mins immersion scale. The Seatimer was a creation by Cartier to modernise the Pasha collection after more than half a century and was rated for 100m.

This particular specimen is a very rare watch that has been in our private collection since 2009. It was a presidential gift from the current president of Syria, Bashar Al-Assad and his portrait is printed on the dial.

Love or hate him, some say he’s the man who survived US intervention while others call him a dictator and in late 2023, Al-Assad was invited to the Asian Games in China with a specially arranged Air China flight where he received VIP treatment. His return home flight was escorted by fighter jets from no less than three countries.
