Description
Pre-owned & mint. Comes with orig. boxes only without papers.
This is a one owner’s watch from new but the outer box and paper in it were lost over time and only the red Cartier box remains. This gorgeous Cartier Tank MC is in near mint condition & never polished, it has a light scuff scratch on the case band, near the lower side of the crown but the watch is otherwise watch sharp and retains the factory finishes as seen in the pictures. The original strap shows little use and in very good condition while both front and rear glasses are perfect. This is the pride of Cartier and fitted with their first in-house manufactured movement.
The blue flinqué dial (Blue lacquer over an engine-turned surface) is a joy to admire and changes colours under different lightings but time reading could be challenging at certain angle with the mirror finished markers and hands. A very attractive watch that shows class and pretty rare in the pre-owned market.
There are very few rectangular watches out there with an in-house automatic movement from a respectable brand at our price, makes this a really compelling choice.
Let’s run some comparisons, an older pre-owned Reverso by JLC for the similar price is smaller and manual winding with no date. The Baume & Mercier Hampton is cheaper but lacks the pedigree. One of the only watch that comes close is the Girard Perregaux Vintage 1945 which has many variations but a Cartier is still easier to re-home so here we are.
The Cartier Tank MC was introduced in 2013 as a more masculine take on one of the brand’s most iconic models. The classic Tank design is executed in a more robust fashion, while retaining familiar elements and the signature elegance of other watches in this family. This blue dial version was launched in 2015 and is available in selective markets Retails for a whopping €8750.00.
