Vintage. No box or papers.
Made when America was a Great country and watches were once manufactured there. This Bulova dates back to 1949, post War years in a fancy Art-Deco style case and dial. The thick yellow gold filled case ensures that it’s still in splendid condition now without any brassing on the edges, a problem that plagues gold filled watches but not here. A complete gold filled case including back cover like this is prized over the latter models with steel backs.
The movement shines as new and 21 jewels is highly jeweled for that period as most make do with 17 up to 1980s for a manual winding movement. The original dial shows age but nothing major. The hands are original and look at how fine they are at the tips. Amazingly, the crown is an original and signed Bulova as well which is desirable.
This is a watch made for gentleman in the earlier half of the last century where men wore elegant watches and design that stirs the soul. It is a bargain for what it is and will easily last another 50 years as long as you pamper it. Please take note that these American watches are small boy size pieces, never in large sizes and they were for gents but whatever goes now.
