Description
Vintage. No box or paper.
This is a very attractive vintage watch by Jaeger LeCoultre from the 1940s. It has a chromed brass case in original condition which shows some wear on the edges throughout in consistent with it’s age and it presents very well with a stainless steel snap-on back. Watch is triple signed throughout on case, movement and dial. The movement shines like new and has a shock-resistant spring on the balance jewel. This same movement can be found in Vacheron Constantin watches of that era as JLC was a movement supplier.
At 33mm, this watch is not too small and the thin bezel ring with a simple dial makes it appear larger than it is. The essence of vintage watches is the dial and this specimen has one of the best preserved dial with an aged surface, original radium numerals and matching lume on the blued steel hands. The flat crown appears to be original and flushes along the case and it takes about 23 winds to a full power reserve. Movement has been serviced so it has a S$500 value added to it and watch is keeping time very well like a modern timepiece.
This is a beautiful vintage not to be missed and a model with military good looks. This watch is also sold with a modern JLC signed steel buckle (<$200 value) procured from the service center.
