Description
Vintage. No box or papers and a Passions box/pouch will be given.
This is a very rare and desirable vintage Heuer chronograph from the early 1940s era. This watch was sold by a Swiss retailer, Türler and the company’s name is signed underneath the center column. This is one of the earliest waterproof style chronograph in stainless steel with a screw-lock back cover and pump pushers so seals can be applied.
The movement is a Landeron, Calibre 13 which is a high quality column wheel chronograph with two counters. This model was often used by military during WW2 for it’s functions and aesthetics.
The original black lacquered dial with silver gilt letterings has tropicalised to a very attractive brownish black tone and the original applied radium for the Arabic numerals are intact with matching hands in brass. Furthermore, this watch has a rare Pulsation scale for medical use which is very sought after by collectors. The case is in splendid condition for its age and shows marks throughout the decades.
This watch ticks all the boxes for any serious vintage watch connoisseur.
Türler is a Swiss watch retailer registered on 3 Feb 1883 and remains in business today with their HQ in Biel, Switzerland and their prime store in Paradeplatz along Zurich’s famous Bahnhofstrasse.
There won’t be a second piece in the same condition again so don’t miss this rare opportunity where this watch will be very admired in your collection or wrist.
