Description
Vintage. No box or papers and a Passions box will be given.
This Rolex Precision dates to late 1940s, just a few years after the devastating great WW2. The 2pc 18KYG rectangular case has overhanging lugs and an original cloche hat crown. It has been lightly polished and a new crystal replaced earlier so it presents really well. The case bezel and lugs are thick which shows little wear over the decades while an 18ct hallmark can be seen on one of the lugs. The brushed back cover shows the original factory engraved logo & serial numbers that are often lost due to over-polishing and both visible here.
The 17 rubies movement is in as-new condition and shines (check out the photos) It keeps time but this is not a chronometer and an 80yrs old watch so please do not expect modern day accuracy. Do bear in mind that these vintages are not water resistant nor shock-proof so please use it with care and it can be a daily watch.
A lovely collector’s item from post-war era in great condition that won’t hurt your wallet and something to relish with on a beautiful day. Would you choose a Cartier Tank or this?
A beautiful gloss croco leather strap by Dorfman in dark hazelnut brown is fitted to it.
