C.1940s vintage Rolex 31mm Precision Ref.8170 manual winding small seconds with engine turned bezel in 10K Pink Gold

We just had to acquire this vintage Rolex as it’s so attractive and made in a very unusual 10ct pink gold when most watches were made in 9, 14 & 18K gold. The case has the engine-turned bezel which is a hallmark of Rolex watches featuring hour bars and a double bar for 12 with a matching cloche-hat style crown.

This Rolex Precision dates to 1940s and made during the devastating WW2 years.

The 17 rubies movement is in as-new condition and shines (check out the photos) It keeps time but this is not a chronometer and an 80yrs old watch so please do not expect modern day accuracy. Do bear in mind that these vintages are not water resistant nor shock-proof so please use it with care and it can be a daily watch.

The solid gold case has been lightly buffed to reveal the lustre of the pink gold and is free from any serious dents nor major scratches. A new German low-profile crystal has been fitted to this watch which enhances it’s beautiful profile. This is a smaller size watch and is unisex. The dial has been professionally restored to the highest standard and the bringing out the important features and details on the radial small seconds remains.
