Description

Vintage. No box/papers & a Passions box/pouch will be given.

This vintage Omega Chronomètre is one of the most sought after reference model bearing the famous Calibre 30T2 movement and this is the rare model with an in-direct sweep center seconds. It is housed in a 33mm solid 18ct yellow gold case with snap-on bezel and back.

The silvered two-tone and cross-haired dial is a professional restoration of the highest quality and would’ve fooled many dealers. This is so good that we would favour it over an aged dial with blemishes. The in-house manufacture movement presents in near mint condition as seen and the solid gold case has light user marks but nothing too major. This watch came from a large private collection and the demanding owner ordered a custom alligator strap for it then searched for a period correct solid 18ct gold buckle (worth S$800+) to match. This strap alone is worth more than S$500 as the tanning is a special colour with shimmering silver-blue that’s reserved for luxury hand bags. It is however short and will suit a 17cm or smaller wrist.

The serial number on the movement is traced to 1943 manufacture during the devastating WW2 period. This watch is easily 80yrs old and to remain in this condition is quite remarkable. It takes about 16 winds to full power reserve.

A wonderful vintage Omega in solid gold that’ll accompany you for many decades to come.

Further 3% discount for non-credit card payment as usual.
