Description
Vintage. No box or papers and a Passions pouch will be given.
A gorgeous vintage Omega dating back to 1957 and an absolute gem with beautiful patina. It measures a 34mm across which is large for a post-War years production watch and cased in solid 9ct Pink gold for the UK market. The case is stamped with Omega markings and Made in England by AL.Dennison (a case maker) with London gold hallmarks. The mid case, under a lug bears the UK gold hallmark and matching numbers with the back cover.
This watch has a beautiful Hob-nail textured dial in original condition, showing good patina and the appliqué pink gold indices in Explorer style are a delight with matching Dauphine hands and a small seconds. The acrylic crystal has some minor scratches and can be replaced upon request but we prefer to leave it original as it is now.
Upon opening the back cover, you will be greeted by an in-house manufacture movement Calibre 267 that’s descended from the famous movement Cal.30T2. This movement is plated in pink-gold and in stunning condition, shining with a sheen as if it has just left the factory. The movement alone is a compelling reason to purchase this vintage Omega as movements in this condition, of this age is very very difficult to acquire. It takes about 16 winds on the crown to a full power reserve.
This watch is almost 70 years old now with a charming character not to be missed while the pink gold speaks of opulence. A great conversation piece that’ll be at home in any collection for the size, quality and that dial.
