C.1960s Zenith 36mm Ref.SP 1201 Sporto date manual winding Cal.2552 in Steel with waterproof case

This is a charming C.1960-70s vintage Zenith in a large steel case with center seconds & date. The attractive dial is naturally aged and has a manual winding movement with high beat of 21600 (better accuracy) that takes about 10 winds to full reserve.

The watch has been carefully restored and presents in very good condition with virtually no rust to the case and a mint movement. The case was polished to factory specs & remains in splendid condition while the stamped case numbers on the back cover are visible which is a sign that it’s not over polished. A new acrylic crystal was fitted, movement overhauled & new strap fitted. This restoration job alone costs almost $700 to complete.

She is ready for a new home and can be immediately enjoyed but is of course not water proof. The 36mm case is a welcome for collectors who prefer larger cases as most pre-1970s vintages were under 35mm.
