This is the iconic Constellation Chronometer model with a pie-pan dial by Omega dating to 1961. This watch has the three-piece steel case with concave lugs and screw-lock back and the gold medallion featuring an observatory with eight stars that represent the chronometric awards won by Omega between 1945-52.
This watch came to us from a collector and is very well cherished. It has the original acrylic with the stamped Omega logo underneath in the center and matching polygon crown.
The original lacquer on the sunray silvered dial has aged to a champagne colour with fine blemishes and the print remains perfect and legible. This adds a charm to the watch with that vintage patina that collectors hunt down for. Case has been polished but proportions remain good and the pink gold gilt movement shines.
Overall, this is a very good vintage with clean provenance and largely unmolested example looking for a new home. If you’re after a vintage Omega Constellation to start your collecting journey then this is the one and very affordable.
Further 3% discount for non-credit card payments & Six-months in-house warranty for vintages.
