This 1962 Omega Genève date reference OT 14703 was launched in 1959. It is a beautiful watch with classic lines and an uncluttered dial, representing the best of a dress watch in solid 18ct yellow gold with chamfered bezel and matching lugs. The original silvered dial has the cross-hair lines with applied Omega logo & faceted batons in gold. A date at 3 makes this a great choice for practicality.
Upon opening the back cover, it reveals the shiny pink gold gilt chronometer grade movement. There is a presentation engraving on the back cover attributed to “M. Salzberg Greenbelt. M.D.”
The gold case appears to be unpolished with the 18K hallmarks visible on the lugs so do expect some wear but it can be easily polished to as new condition again. There are no deep scratches nor dents except some marks from the gap for opening the back cover which is common. The original dial with matching hands shows light patina and are in very good condition for it’s age. It even comes with the original hexalite crystal that has the Omega logo in the center so we polished it but some old deeper marks remain as you can see from the two black lines above 4 o’clock baton but this is an original crystal.
A rare and very well preserved vintage piece to come by in this condition for the price. This Omega can be a daily watch as long as you keep it away from moisture and she’ll serve faithfully for decades to come.
Further 3% discount for non-credit card payment as usual.
