A lovely vintage automatic Omega from late 1960s under the Deville collection. This is a very slim watch at just 7mm thin and housed in a yellow gold shell case with a steel screw-lock back cover. The sunburst silvered dial is original and presents very well with fine blemishes. The case has been cleaned and in excellent condition while the movement shines as new. The acrylic crystal is a factory original and shows a few negligible marks but it’s best not to replace it.
A truly wonderful experience when one opens the watch to inspect the internals for the first time. It has a high grade Calibre 711 movement that beats at a higher rate of 19800 for accuracy and has no date feature.
This watch has received a full service where the movement was stripped, overhauled, oiled and regulated so will it continue to serve you well for many decades to come. This work is worth S$600 from our service center.
The year 1966 was when independence were taking around the world from colonial powers and mankind was busy with the Space program. It was an exciting time of the 20th century and the Omega Speedmaster was worn by NASA astronauts to the Moon a few years later.
A small amount to pay for this luscious vintage when modern watches are so overpriced with no soul.
