C.1967 vintage Omega 34mm Geneve automatic Ref.165037 Silvered crossed dial in 18KYG & screw back case

Another magnificent Omega of over 50 years old in a solid 18ct yellow gold case with a screw-lock back cover. The dial is original and presents very well with a few tiny dashes of dark marks on the upper right quarter but otherwise it is near mint and original tritium dots are intact & glows under UV light. The case has been polished and in excellent condition while the pink gold gilt movement shines as new. A truly wonderful experience when one opens the watch to inspect the internals for the first time.

This is a simple Genève model but is fitted with a high grade Calibre 552 movement that beats at a higher rate of 19800 for accuracy and has no date feature.

This watch was made at a time when independence were taking around the world and mankind was busy with the Space program. An exciting time of the 20th century and the Omega Speedmaster was worn by astronauts to the Moon.

A small price to pay for this luscious vintage when modern watches are so overpriced with no soul. The movement has been overhauled and good as new while a new strap is fitted.
