Description
Vintage. No box/papers.
This 1968 Omega C-shape Constellation chronometer date was the top-of-the-line model from the brand. A full steel model with original bracelet is very desirable and this watch has not been polished so there are some age induced wear throughout but no major scars as u can see. It is presented in it’s original condition and desirable for the vintage collector. The acrylic crystal does not have the mystery Omega logo.
Upon unlocking the back cover, there are no rust marks nor corrosion evidences on the screw thread of the case which shows that it has had a good, dry life and the pink gold gilt movement shines as it should. The original dial shows some ageing and is very presentable.
The movement has been serviced and watch is sold with our 6 months warranty but please do not expect chronometer timing by now as the watch is over 50yrs old. This is a very clean and beautiful example with a thick case and coin-edged fluted bezel made from white gold similar to the Rolex Ref.1601 of the same era. The buckle on the bracelet is stamped 6-9 which possibly denotes the year of production & coincides with the age of the movement.
This Constellation can still be a daily watch as long as you keep it away from moisture and she’ll serve faithfully for decades to come.
