C.1996 Rolex, 40mm Oyster Perpetual “Submariner” 1000ft/300m Ref.14060 “T” series in Steel

This Rolex Submariner 300m is a mid-production model from the 14060 series and dates to 1997 from T series.

This specimen will is not suitable for the fussy buyer, instead, it will appeal to a collector in search for an unmolested but well used example with marks and stories.

The case has numerous marks over the decades but nothing too serious, there’s a faint scratch line across the glass and we found 4 blemish spots on the black dial due to aging as seen under UV light and with a light striking from the side. These spottings are not readily visible and can only be visible under certain lighting conditions. Such a seasoned example attracts a peculiar buyer in search of something with authentic history and untouched over the past decades so it is of course unpolished and might have been serviced throughout the years but we don’t have a record on that. The bracelet remains reasonably tight which is a plus and bezel insert is of course commensurate with the rest of the watch.
