Description
Vintage. No box nor paper.
Case is lightly polished to bring out it’s lustre and showing micro user marks but nothing major. There’s no deep gashes nor dents to worry of and the gold capping over the crown has came off hence the original brass based crown shows a dark metal look. The dial is original and aged while someone attempted to paint white over the edge @ 10.
Movement is made by and signed Tavannes Watch Co which was the parent company of Cyma. Signed, finished with Geneva stripes and stamped throughout. The dial is signed Chronometre and the movement was adjusted to 4 positions but this watch is of course far from accurate after more than 70yrs.
Great value for a solid gold Swiss watch with a pretty case. Check out finishing on the back case. With 14K gold @ S$48.50 today, the solid gold case alone would’ve worth a few hundreds.
