Description
Pre-owned. Complete set with a large wooden winder box+outer box, user manual and paper in a folder.
This is an incredible set of three watches and only ten sets were ever made by Girard Perregaux. Known as the Richeville Collection Privee (Private collection). The watches are not numbered and only bears the reference model but each is engraved with “one of ten”. This is likely the only set for sale in the world now. They are styled in classical manner, featuring the traditional Breguet style guilloché dials & hands with Tonneau shaped cases in solid 18ct Pink gold, each with exhibition glass back and gold deployant buckle. All fitted with in-house manufacture movements.
Ref.2721 Automatic, chronograph with flyback & date
Ref.2722 Automatic, perpetual calendar with moonphase and sweep center seconds hand
Ref.2760 Automatic, moonphase with big-date and small seconds
The watches were sparingly used and according to the owner, only one was worn for a few times while the other two were left on winders. They present in mint condition and holes on the straps not punched. They were never serviced so were never opened & delivered as they were by the dealer. Watch functions checked and time well. The featured box is an elegant cabinet work of it’s own in hi-gloss. piano finish shaped in the form of the watch cases. We have never seen a second set of this in our decades in this business.
Girard Perregaux may not be revered by most but the brand deserves a laurel and has a place in every watch collector’s heart. In a bold move, the CEO Patrick Pruniaux led a management buy-out from the parent Kering Group in January 2022 and is poised for profitability. Together with Ulysse Nardin, under the Sowind group, they are now independent watch makers.
The brand has also recently joined hands with Aston Martin to produce some exciting new watches. The Laureato collection is doing so well that there is no discount for them here and the automatic skeleton in steel sells for S$60K. Production figure for this brand will remain below 25,000 and prospects look positive with renewed interest in Asia.
For our price now, it represents a once in a lifetime opportunity and a bargain at it that you’re getting three complications together. The Perpetual Calendar alone is well worth it. Only ten sets ever made.
