Rolex C.1950 24mm Lady’s Oyster Precision Ref.5005 manual winding in 9KPG engine-turned bezel on steel case

This is a rare and collectible lady’s Rolex Oyster, the Ref.5005 has an engine turned bezel while Ref.5004 has a plain & polished bezel. Our watch here is the 5005 in steel with a pink gold engine turned bezel which is an absolute beauty. It has an original dial in very good condition for her age, featuring mixed Arabic nos & daggers in gold while the printed coronet is small, a desirable feature for Rolex collectors as the large coronet was not in use until the 1960s.

This watch is 100% period original except for the new plastic crystal replacement and strap. It has the very desirable period crown fitted that has a flat top and a cross sign stamped onto the center which was the standard issue on the Bubble-backs and other oysters from 1930s to 1940s.

Early lady’s Rolex Oysters are rare and always a delight to find, especially one in this condition that can still be worn daily but please keep it away from moisture, don’t over-wind or drop it and they can serve you faithfully for many decades to come.
