Rumanel 33mm C.1950s Moonphase complete calendar Antimagnetic watch in chromed case with Hindu-Arabic calendar

A very rare Circa 1950s Swiss made Rumanel complete calendar watch with moonphases and small seconds for the Middle Eastern market hence the complete calendar are printed with Hindu-Arabic. The chromed over brass case is in very good condition and an excellent steel back snaps tightly. The original dial is in excellent condition except a flake off @ the edge near 8 o’clock but did not harm the Arabic date printed in turquoise blue. The high quality Venus movement shines as new with no hint of wear nor rust.

Dial signed and case stamped while the movement is unsigned which is a common practice for many watch firms in those years. The dial on this watch is the winning formula here with embossed Arabic nos and daggers in pink gold with matching pink gold gilt hands. Date and pointer arrow in blue while the moon in gold has full features with eyes, nose and a smile. All functions work and time well but do not expect high accuracy for such watches.

A highly collectible timepiece that won’t break your wallet & one that’s very conversational among watch collectors. There are many moonphase vintages but to find one in this condition and the Arabic feature is highly desirable.
