Watch is used, unpolished and shows very mild surface wear. This Vulcain Nautical Cricket alarm watch was purchased from The Hour Glass in Singapore with little discount as this was a limited edition. Only 100pcs were made and our watch here is no.001, the very first piece in the limited series.
This watch is based on an original vintage design from the 1970s and is a diver’s model rated for 300m. The top pusher is for activating the crown to set alarm time with the middle crown winds the movement and adjusts time. The bottom screw-lock crown adjusts the internal 60min bezel ring with a luminous coated arrow that can be read off the depth rating chart on the dial. Sold with a spare rubber strap & signed steel buckle.
Watch is very well made and deserves attention from any serious watch collectors with it’s in-house manufacture movement while the vintage theme is a welcome and lastly, this is watch number one.
Founded in 1858, Vulcain has partnered with mountaineering and maritime explorations but it is the American presidents who made them famous as several US statesmen wore the Vulcain Cricket wristwatches and so it is well known as The President’s watch.
